Analysis, Recommendations, Installation, Training
There are hundreds of thousands of open source applications. Are any of these programs for you? Which ones? Want some help sorting it out? I've been using free and open source software for more than 20 years.
Do you want help installing software? One downside of open source is that installers tend to demand a little more knowledge and/or work from the end user. One of the beauties of using open source software is that it can be customized. If your closed-source software doesn't do what you want, you're probably out of luck. But with open source software, you can change the program itself to add that little feature you're missing. Or, you can have me work on it for you. Low cost software documentation tends to suffer from 'geek syndrome' - it's often written in Geek, for geeks. Or, at the very least heavily geek-accented. I speak Geek - and English. |
