Windows XP Desktop Icons Changed

In this case, just after the last save on a document, I noticed that almost all my desktop icons had changed to the default generic icon. Weird.

Opening one of the defaulted ones and clicking change icon showed that the correct icon was available; choosing it worked.

Definition - Subject Matter Expert

 

An SME is a 'subject matter expert'.

Engineers often have no idea - at least at the beginning - of how a business does its business. We can install the computers and write the code, but have no idea why you need to include a Form 10zy2 with every customer order - or even that you do have to.

An SME provides the insight into how a system has to work - what it has to actually do.

It's up to the designers and coders to create the system that accomplishes what the SME has helped specify.
 
What is a server?


I was recently asked by someone who's involved in an implementation of a database application what people mean when they talk about a 'server'?
